Who Am I?
Kansan by birth, Brooklynite by choice. Raised on progressive rock and road trips to nowhere and everywhere. I’ve been putting pencil to paper since I was seven, when I ‘ghostwrote’ my own edition of Beverly Cleary’s Ramona series. I received no royalties, but I did nurture what would become a lifelong writing habit.
In between scribbling, I lived out West and worked as a horticultural therapist, using plants and gardens as a medium for kids in day treatment, which was, honestly, pretty dope. That path led me into social work in New York, working in various mental health settings, until the pandemic nudged me back to my first love: writing. Now I spend my days documenting, jotting, and savoring the world around me.
If you’re reading this, you’re probably a creative too, so let’s connect. I love meeting people for coffee and exploring new-to-me roasters around the city.
